The Essentials

Do you remember back when there was something called "essential workers?" You know: "those who conduct a range of operations and services in industries that are essential to ensure the continuity of critical functions in the United States." It sounded crazy at the time but then I realized that was how Costco was going to stay open, and people everywhere were concerned about their own "critical functions." Therefore, I needed 144 rolls of toilet paper before they were all gone.

Fast forward to today and we are concerned about government and governing as the local primary season has already begun. I'd frankly like to share my passion and beliefs with other individuals as I feel there is no greater obligation than to vote, and no greater declaration of personal gratitude than to vote for governance that will preserve the wisdom enshrined in the most famous and meaningful declaration of them all: The Declaration of Independence (1776). The words remain powerful and inspiring: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The organization Vintage American Ways lists six basic American Cultural Values that I also support. The six basic American cultural values was first introduced in American Ways: An Introduction to American Culture. It explains the value system that has allowed the United States to assimilate millions of people from diverse cultures all over the world and create a unique, enduring American identity.  There are three pairs of values consisting of three reasons why immigrants have come (and still do) to the United States and three prices that are paid for these benefits.

·        Individual Freedom and Self-Reliance

·        Equality of Opportunity and Competition

·        The American Dream and Hard Work

Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that not everyone shares my heartfelt dedication to America's morally superior principles and values. So, I'm proposing a new set of rules which are loosely based on recent history. If you feel America should remain America, the champion of freedom, and you agree with Abraham Lincoln when he said that "Freedom is the last, best hope of earth," then join me and other Conservatives/Independents/Republicans as we will be known as ESSENTIAL VOTERS! The technical definition of an ESSENTIAL VOTER should be familiar: "Those who conduct an act of voting that is essential to ensure......the United States."

Of course, there are the NON-ESSENTIAL VOTERS. These are the people who oppose the traditional values listed above. They are commonly referred to as Leftists, Socialists, Communists, Radicals, or just simply Democrats. They hate America and want to "transform" her, which means destroy her. They are the opposite of ESSENTIAL VOTERS.

ESSENTIAL VOTERS like essential workers must show up, take pride in their mission, stay focused and undeterred, and understand that they are allowed to work towards and preserve a way of life that the less fortunate can only dream of. They are necessary to preserve democracy and capitalism. Without them there would be neither.

NON-ESSENTIAL VOTERS, like non-essential workers, need to stay home. This may sound harsh, but it is necessary to stop the spread of socialism. This means no vote harvesting, no angry protests, no burning of buildings, no attacks on the police, no looting, and most importantly: no murdering, even if you are pretty sure you'll get away with it.

Until the laws are passed and the radical activist judges are done torturing the constitution and the English language, we're going to be on the honor system. We are not a country that forces voting or non-voting quite yet, although that is inevitable once NON-ESSENTIAL VOTERS get their way. So, stay in your lane and let's stick with what works: the essentials!
